How to prepare for your Executive Headshot Session!

Updated: Mar 22

During our initial consultation, we discuss your brand and professional needs. Understanding your business and professional goals helps me to determine how to structure your photography session.

Your wardrobe choices are based upon the look you are attempting to convey to your potential consumers and client base.

How will your images be used? Social media and your professional website? For print for publication? Answering these questions during the consultations gives me insight into your business needs and goals.

Once your look and goal have been determined. The next step is to obtain outfit choices to wear to your session.

I recommend bringing at least three outfits and one additional item as a backup.

A. Business attire for men a suit, for women pants suit or dress and blazer

B. Formal (fancy) this is an evening gown for women for men a tux

C. Business Casual jeans and a white or black button-down

D. Men (tie, belt, socks, watch) neutral shoes

Accessories and Grooming:

I suggest pearl earrings, a necklace, and diamond studs.

Women, I recommend getting your hair done the morning of your session or the evening before. Consider bringing multiple undergarments (nude, black) neutral shoes

Men, I recommend a fresh haircut and shave. Bring v-neck white and black shirts for your casual attire.

Drink plenty of water. Make sure to get enough rest the night before your session.
